Gut Health Program

Gut Health Protocal

(Three Month) 12 Week Program
Virtual or in person available

In the last 30 years our diets and lifestyles have changed, unfortunately for the worst. Today we’re seeing more and more people with inflammatory symptoms which can manifest themselves as any of the below symptoms. Quite often these symptoms are treated with medications rather than looking at the diet and lifestyle which sadly mask the root cause rather than treating it.

  • Digestive problems, including cramps, constipation and diarrhoea

  • Difficulty urinating

  • Acid reflux or heart burn

  • Vaginal or rectal infections or itching

  • Food intolerance, gas and bloating

  • Inflammation, aching joints

  • Acne, skin rashes, and psoriasis

  • Chronic fatigue

  • ADHD or issues with concentration

  • Anxiety or depression

What is the microbiome?

Our microbiome is made up of a large number of different strains and species of bacteria. In a healthy microbiome for example, the most dominant species will be thriving producing a healthy ecosystem and optimal health. However, when the quantity and proportion of these friendly bacteria are reduced, the harmful strains and pathogens are allowed to grow unchecked causing an imbalance which can lead to dysbiosis.

Another symptom I often see in the practice is SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth).

SIBO is a digestive disorder that occurs when there is an abnormal increase in the overall bacterial population in the small intestine. Symptoms often manifest as:

  • Abdominal bloating and flatulence

  • Oily, foul-smelling stools

  • ·Unintentional weight loss

The good news is all these conditions can be treated using a holistic approach to health.

These programs are focused on following a specific gut protocol which is often the 5 Rs approach or the antimicrobial approach depending on the symptoms.

We use stool and breath testing; discovery and elimination to get to the root cause.

Often this is due to nutritional imbalances, however, could also involve many other factors.

This program involves a lot of homework and accountability
